Ex-PBB's Baninay Bautista, Bont Oropel call it quits; ask fans for privacy

Former "Pinoy Big Brother (PBB)" housemate Baninay Bautista and her boyfriend Bont Bryan Oropel have split.

In her recent YouTube video, Baninay hinted at the reason why she decided to end their two-year-old relationship last month.

"Ilang araw ko ng pinag-iisipan 'yung ginagawa ko… Wala na kami ni Bont… Mahaba na rin 'yung pinagsamahan namin. Siya 'yung lalaki na pangarap ko. Alam niyo 'yun, wala akong reklamo sa ugali niya. Sobrang bait niya sa akin. Sobrang mahal na mahal niya ako. So, love na love ko siya pero dadating din pala kayo sa point na hindi kayo magkakaintindihan, na hindi mo alam kung anong nangyaring mali pero alam mo may mali," said Baninay as she got emotional.

"Alam mo may nagbago. Hindi ko alam kung anong point sa relationship namin pero alam ko na may problema na kami."

Baninay said they did try to fix the issues together, but ended up going on separate ways to give themselves space.

"After namin na mag-break tina-try pa namin ayusin. Akala ko nga babalik na kami sa dati pero may something na hindi mafi-fix kapag hindi ka rin na-fix sa sarili mo. Kumbaga aayusin ko muna sarili ko, aayusin mo muna sarili mo tsaka tayo mag-usap, parang ganon, ang hirap i-explain. Parang time apart lang talaga 'yung kailangan namin… Let me grow. I'll let you grow," she explained.

"Ang cliche pakingan pero totoo pala 'yun. Dapat ko muna ayusin ang sarili ko."

Despite what happened, the social media darling noted that they still remain friends, as well as business partners to their restaurant.

She also cleared Bont's name: "wala siyang ginawang masama."

Baninay denied that a third party was the reason for the breakup.

"May mga bagay lang talaga na hindi pa pwede. May mga bagay lang din na only time and space will heal. I think this is for the better," she said.
