Alapag meets Bolick in LA, wishes to see Batang Pier star back in action

PBA star-turned-coach Jimmy Alapag is hoping to see NorthPort guard Robert Bolick back in action. 

The two backcourt players met somewhere in Los Angeles, California, USA and they posted Thursday morning (Manila time) on Instagram the same photo of their meeting. 

Alapag, who won six championships and an MVP award during his stint with TNT, expressed through his IG story caption his wish for Bolick to finally play after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury last October 2019. 

"LA VIBE!!!" the 25-year-old Bolick quipped. 

"Great catching up on your quick stop in LA. Look(ing) forward to seeing you back on the court," said the 43-year-old Alapag, who moved to US for good last year to continue his budding coaching career. 

Bolick sustained an ACL tear in his right knee during the Governor's Cup 2019  and immediately underwent surgery. He was sidelined for 10 months. 

The three-time NCAA champion from San Beda missed the PBA Philippine Cup bubble as the Batang Pier decided not to include him in the lineup as a precaution. 

Without Bolick, NorthPort crashed out early of the bubble conference with a dismal 1-10 win-loss record. 

Now fully recovered, Bolick is expected to return and lead the Batang Pier's campaign in the 46th PBA season projected to begin in April
