2 Filipinos named in The Apprentice: ONE Championship edition

Two Filipino aspirants are set to represent the Philippines in ONE Championship's edition of The Apprentice.

ONE CEO and founder Chatri Sityodtong announced Wednesday night the final participants in arguably the "toughest version" of the hit reality show set to premiere on Asia in March and globally in June.

Lara Pearl Alvarez and Louie Sangalang, both born from Baguio, will showcase their leadership, entrepreneurship and athletic skills alongside 14 other contestants from around the world.

Per ONE's special website of The Apprentice, Alvarez and Sangalang both practiced martial arts before venturing into another chapter of their lives.

Alvarez now works as a freelance tax accountant and Sangalang, aside from being an educator, had led the procurement and purchasing department of a notable health insurance company before setting up and running his own procurement consulting firm.

Both Filipinos are hoping to become Sityodtong's apprentice as the winner is bound to receive a US $250,000 job offer to work directly under the ONE honcho in Singapore.

Sityodtong, for his part, expressed gratitude to the production team and Singapore government for a successful project and shooting amid the coronavirus pandemic.

"It was an insane experience to be a part of the production of a global TV show in the middle of the pandemic. However, teamwork always makes the dream work!" wrote Sityodtong.

The Apprentice also stars successful CEOs as special guests and renowned mixed martial artists as guest athletes, who will help participants in their athletic and business-involved challenges.
