We all love Angelu De Leon Rivera from "T.G.I.S." as Pichie, the love interest of Wacks that was played by Bobby Andrews.

And now, we will love her more as she returns to Viva Artists Agency, to join its wide roster of stars.

Here are 5 questions with Angelu:

Manila Bulletin Entertainment: How do you compare showbiz then and now?

"Yung sa'min para kaming mga babies noon… ang artistas noon para kaming nasa crib, may nag-aalaga sa 'min, pero ngayon naman meron pa ring nag-aalaga pero mas mabilis yung pag-push na maging independent, with their vlogs, social media, content.

"Meron siyang pros and cons, dati hindi nakakarating sa amin yung bashers namin. Sad to say sila, (Artists now) mas open book. I think they have to put more hard work pa."

Manila Bulletin Entertainment: How do you handle bashers back then?

"Back then, ang mga bashers namin is yung press mismo! Yung mga press na may ayaw sa'min or someone na ipapaalam rin sa amin ng press na di kami gusto.

"Now, pwede na nilang yurak-yurakan yung pagkatao mo and if it caught you on a bad day, talagang apektado ka, so you need to be strong, mentally, emotionally. Siguro that is the downside of social media."

"Superhero, maging nanay lang ako ng superhero… pero ngayon pa ba ako mag harness? (joke)."

Manila Bulletin Entertainment: Do you see yourself doing showbiz for a longer time?


"I don't think anyone retires from showbiz, just like being a press di ba? No one ever retires… it's like a drug, you know pag hooked ka na? Pero mahirap naman yung ako lang yung a-arte kaya I'm very thankful for Viva for giving me this opportunity."

Manila Bulletin Entertainment: Any tips or advice for younger stars?

 
"Number 1 is professionalism. Without that, kahit na gaano ka kagaling, hindi ka tatagal sa industriya. Kapag professional ka kasi, isa yun sa bagay na nagpapakita na 'hindi ka selfish eh. Kasi 'yung pagiging unprofessional mo is maaapektuhan lahat nun eh from the production, co-stars dahil lang sa late ka, or mahirap ka pakisamahan."

Angelu, 45, previously signed with Viva back in 1992. Among her most memorable projects include "Ober da Bakod" (1992), T.G.I.S. (1995) and "Bulaklak ng Maynila" (1999).
