Dr. Alejandro Pineda tackles the efforts on anti-doping policies as he leads second batch of the online National Sports Summit 2021 on March 4.
Pineda, head of the Philippine National Anti-Doping Organization (PHINADO), is expected to provide an in-depth discussion on the latest implementation of the 2021 World Anti-Doping Code in the country.
A known figure in guiding national athletes and coaches in complying with world anti-doping policies, Pineda has been representing the country in the Southeast Asia Regional Anti-Doping Organization since 2006.
Marc Velasco, the summit’s Project Director, said discussing the importance of honest and fair play is vital to athletes, coaches and sports educators.
It is also crucial to be updated with the policies of the World Anti-Doping Agency.
The online session will be separated into three subjects namely “Anti-Doping Efforts in Philippine Sports”, “Sports Science and Sports Success”, and “High-Performance Sports and Athletic Success.”
