This is how Diego Loyzaga got the sweetest 'yes' from Barbie Imperial

You won't believe how Diego Loyzaga got the big "yes" from Barbie… or is it the other way around?

For those who are not yet aware, this is not a marriage proposal, but rather the story on how they leveled-up their friendship.

It all started back in 2018 as Diego shared in a recent Star Magic vlog. "Ako yung kumukulit noon kay Barbie. Ako yung nagme-message sa kanya. Then na-realize naming dalawa na na-friendzone kami sa isa’t isa.”

The two lovebirds went on, saying that there was a time where they remained as friends, back when Diego left show business due to personal reasons.

But that all changed when Barbie insisted on inviting Diego along with other friends on a beach resort in Pangasinan.

“Pinilit niya ako,” said Diego.

"Pinilit ko siya, as a friend. Walang malisya,” Barbie clarified.

Diego also shared how Barbie contacted his stepmother (Sunshine Cruz) just to make sure that he will be joining with friends. Teresa Loyzaga is the real mother of Diego.

It was a fun experience according to Barbie, noting how she loved the company of Diego and their heart-to-heart talks.

That fateful excursion was followed by another one. This is where the two decided to spice things up. Specifically Barbie.

Barbie recalled saying,“tatanungin mo ba ako kung magiging tayo? Diego said: ‘Ano? Tayo na?’ Barbie replied: ‘Oo.’”

And the rest is history.
