LOOK: Popular US celebrity website honors Lea Salonga on her 50th birthday

Filipino Broadway star Lea Salonga got a special birthday treat from popular American celebrity website Page Six.

On Feb. 22, Salonga was featured in the photo gallery of Page Six with a series of snaps titled: "Lea Salonga doesn't age: The Broadway star turns 50" by Spencer Bergen. Salonga turned 50 last Feb. 22.

Page Six splashed 10 photos of her journey to show business on its site.

Salonga is known for playing Kim in the critically-acclaimed musical "Miss Saigon" in the 1990s which was staged in the West End and on Broadway.

She went on to win the Olivier, Theater World Awards, and Tony Awards. She is the first Asian to win a Tony.

Salonga is also the first Asian to play the roles of Eponine and Fantine in the musical "Les Miserables" on Broadway. She is married to Robert Charles Chien and they have a daughter.
