YG Entertainment responds to dating news between G-Dragon, BLACKPINK's Jennie

The agency of Big Bang member G-Dragon, 32, and BLACKPINK’s Jennie, 25, has responded to the report that its two stars are dating.

Korean media outlet Dispatch published an exclusive report on Feb. 24 showing G-Dragon and Jennie on a date.

The two both belong to YG Entertainment and when asked by Korean media, the agency said, “It is difficult for the company to confirm the personal life of an artist. Thank you for your understanding.”

The news report stated that G-Dragon and Jennie have been in a relationship for a year.

Jennie starred in G-Dragon’s music video for “That XX” in 2012. G-Dragon is Jennie’s idol while Jennie is G-Dragon’s muse, Dispatch added.

According to the report, the two would often meet at G-Dragon’s home in Hannam-dong in Seoul. The media outlet witnessed Jennie going to G-Dragon’s penthouse.

It said the relationship between the two is an open secret within YG Entertainment. Jennie’s manager would bring her to G-Dragon’s house, the report added. Sometimes, it’s the manager of G-Dragon.

“A lot of people in YG are also aware of their relationship," a close friend of the two told Dispatch.

Last Jan. 31, Jennie left G-Dragon’s house to go to the venue of BLACKPINK’s online concert. G-Dragon’s vehicle was also spotted at the concert venue, the report added. G-Dragon also visited the music video set for BLACKPINK’s “The Album.”
