Mikey Garcia likens Manny Pacquiao to Tom Brady

American welterweight contender Mikey Garcia has nothing but praises for Manny Pacquiao despite a few attempts to take on the challenge of facing the Filipino boxing legend.

Speaking to Little Giant Boxing, Garcia lauded the 42-year-old Pacquiao for his capability to take care of himself and stay fit despite his age, even likening him to NFL great Tom Brady, 43.

For Garcia, not all athletes are gifted with that physique and mindset.

"It's like an obsession for him to keep performing, to keep winning titles, keep doing things. They don't have an age that they wanna retire, they wanna keep doing that until their body says no more. And with Brady, still doing it, f___," said Garcia.

In terms of "who's the better athlete," the four-division world champion believes that Pacquiao and Brady are on equal footing, saying that the two can't really be compared due to differences in the dynamics of their respective sports.

Aside from Pacquiao and Brady, Garcia also mentioned the likes of former boxing champions in Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Bernard Hopkins in the "talk about greatness".

It would be recalled that the Filipino boxer-turned-senator congratulated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers star after capturing the Super Bowl title over the Kansas City Chief in early February.

The eight-division world boxing champion even called Brady as the "sports" GOAT' or the greatest of all time.

While Pacquiao boasts of dominating eight divisions in boxing, the former Patriots quarterback now has seven Super Bowl championships since joining the NFL in 2000.

With these feats alone, Pacquiao and Brady are, without a doubt, part of the GOAT talk in the sporting world.
