Honda adds new colors to the Genio scooter

Honda gives lady riders a new reason to look into the Genio with its new batch of colors designed to appeal to their unique sense of style.

The Genio now has three additional colors to choose from. These are Vintage White, Valiant Red, and Matte Gunpowder Metallic Black with line and chalk art calligraphy patterns. The new liveries bring the motorcycle’s total color choices up to five, including the original Ross White with Red Stripes and Ross White with Blue Stripes.

The Genio’s Vintage White boasts of a sophisticated and elegant look. It features a white body with grey stripes paired with a brown seat for contrast.

The Valiant Red variant, on the other hand, comes with a red body. It’s accented by artistic pinstriping and stylistic calligraphy on the side. It’s paired with a gold Genio emblem. The Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic offers the same style, this time with a black body.

Besides the new colorways, the Genio is still powered by the same enhanced smart power (eSP) engine. It come with features like an LED headlight, a digital meter panel with ECO indicator, a key shutter with seat opener, an enhanced smart architecture frame (eSAF) for more stability and comfort, and a power outlet for charging gadgets.

It’s propelled by a 4-stroke, air-cooled, single overhead cam (SOHC) engine, designed to return both engine power and fuel efficiency. It produces 8.9 PS at 7,500 rpm power and a 9.3N.m at 5,500 rpm torque.

As for safety, the Genio should reassure riders with its combi-brake system, consisting of a front disc brake and rear mechanical drum braking system. The combi-brake works by activating both the front disc and rear drum in tandem when the right brake lever is pulled 50 percent.

For practicality, under the seat is a 14-liter utility box to fit everyday essentials, making their journey to work or errands more convenient.

The new Genio color variants are now available at all Honda dealerships nationwide. It’s priced at a suggested retail price of P72,900.
