Italian-Filipino actor Matteo Guidicelli took to Instagram on Saturday, Feb, 20, to greet his wife Sarah Geronimo on their first wedding anniversary.

"Love, HAPPY 1st year anniversary!! Look at our family! ? Thank you for bringing joy in our home, you are the reason why I smile when we wake up. You continue to inspire me everyday and I just love celebrating life with you. So proud of you my love! I love you forever. #proudhusband#blessed@justsarahgph," wrote Matteo.

On Instagram, Mateo shared a snap with his wife Sarah and their three dogs.

Netizens greeted the couple on in their first year as husband and wife.

It was in Feb. 2020 when Matteo finally spoke about his secret wedding with Sarah G.

"A day full of pure love, honesty and genuine emotions. Yes, we got married. Mr and Mrs. Guidicelli. First and foremost, we would like to express the overwhelming joy, love and excitement we have in beginning our life together. We decided to keep everything as intimate as possible because of private matters," the actor shared on Instagram.

"We are happy, we are blessed, and we are husband and wife! Let’s always celebrate life and love! Nothing will ever defeat pure honest LOVE.

"That evening was almost perfect until some unexpected events took place, but don’t worry I never 'punched' anyone. I will forever stand up and protect my wife just as how my father would protect my whole family.

"I would like to say thank you to my family for loving Sarah like a daughter. Our family is growing and we are blessed. Papa and Mama, thank you for deeply loving and welcoming Sarah into our family. In time, with God’s grace and love, everything will heal and fall into place," he added.

Matteo and Sarah announced their engagement in Nov. 2019. They got married in a secret civil ceremony at a posh hotel in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City on Feb, 20, 2020.
