Rihanna wows fans with steamy topless snap, angers Hindu community

Singer Rihanna wowed fans when she posed topless in boxer shorts for her lingerie brand.

Wearing purple satin boxers and jewels courtesy of her lingerie brand Savage X Fenty, Rihanna matched her style with red lipstick from her beauty line.

On Instagram, the "Diamond" singer's caption read: "when @popcaanmusic said “me nuh wan ya wear no lingerie tonight fa me girl.”

Reports said that the purple boxers have been sold out although the red boxers are still available.

Rihanna’s beauty and lingerie brands are still on the rise. However, her luxury label Fenty fashion line is shutting down due to pandemic.

“Rihanna and LVMH have jointly made the decision to put on hold the RTW activity, based in Europe, pending better conditions,” read a statement on Feb. 17.

But the "Umbrella" singer has been criticized for wearing a Hindu necklace in the photo shoot.

Some said that Rihanna shamefully mocked their beloved Hindu God while other called it inappropriate and offensive.

This is not the first time that Rihanna offended a religious group.

In October 2020, Rihanna apologized to the Muslim community after her fashion show featured a song with an Islamic verse dubbed Hadith.

Rihanna then thanked the Muslim community for pointing the oversight.

"I would more importantly like to apologize to you for this honest, yet careless mistake. We understand that we have hurt many of our Muslim sisters and brothers, and I'm incredibly disheartened by this! I do not play with any kind of disrespect toward God or any religion and therefore the use of this song in our project was completely irresponsible!" the 32-year-old singer said.
