VIRAL: Delivery guy pedals for three hours—from Binondo to Cavite

With so many online delivery bookings, we're bound to get involved with some delivery guys who get into "road bumps" such as a flat tire and more.

Michael Jamandre had an extraordinary encounter this week when his delivery took about three hours to get to him. The rider didn't even informed him why but reassured that he will get to his place soon.

When the rider arrived, "bigla nawala inis ko. Una natawa ako tapos naawa ako (My anger was gone. At first, I found it funny then I pitied him)." Apparently, the rider manually biked all the way from Binondo to Cavite with the delivery rate of P250.

Jamandre couldn't help but ask the store where he bought the item from—if delivery guys like him are employed under them. The store replied and said that they hire the ones who are waiting outside their store, waiting for their turn to delivery the goods. "Yes, sir. Instead of getting into vices, we give them jobs," said the store staff.

"Para doon sa store, saludo ako sa pagtulong ninyo sa mga tambay sa inyo at doon sa nagdala ng item ko. Idol kita! Sana gayahin ka din ng mga ibang tambay sa inyo (To the store, we salute you for helping the ones staying outside your shop and providing jobs for them. You are my idol (referring to the rider! I hope the rest will be inspired by you and follow your footsteps)," he posted. Jamandre also added that he wanted the man to keep the P250 change (he gave a P500 bill as payment), but the rider didn't want to.

"Sabi ko, 'kuya, sa iyo na 'yan kasi ramdam ko pagod mo babalik ka pa ng Binondo at wala ka namang item na pabalik (I told him, "Keep the P250. I feel how much labor you put into this and you're going back to Binondo without any delivery)," he shares.

The rider told Jamandre that it comes with the job, but Jamandre insisted. In the end, the rider returned P100 because it was enough for him. He ended the post, "Check his bicycle, it's not even for racing so it's hard to pedal."
