Gary V reveals his sugar level dangerously high, asks for prayers

Gary Valenciano took to Twitter to ask prayers from netizens after he revealed that his sugar level is on an alarming stage.

"Lord...humbly I come before you to ask for your help. My sugar level Lord is dangerously high. Although I’ve taken the right steps to bring it back to normal...it’s not easy having it this high. Thank You Lord Jesus for I know You are with me in this," said Valenciano On Feb. 16. Netizens prayed for his recovery.

Valenciano, 56, has suffered from Type 1 diabetes since he was 14 years old.

In interviews, Mr. Pure Energy said that he can't and won't leave home without his vials of insulin, disposable needles, glucometer (to check his blood sugar) and a can of something sweet (like Coke soft drink).

“I’m living a life with diabetes, but I’m not letting it stop me," he said in an interview with ABS-CBN.

His wife, Angeli, and kids have been witnesses to his attacks, and to almost 90,000 insulin injections in his lifetime.  


In 2005, Valenciano experienced one of his worst hypoglycemic attacks, the report said.

It happened during the ASAP Kapamilya Caravan Tour in Pasadena, California.

Reports said that Valenciano became unconscious and almost went into a coma. The "Your Face Sounds Familiar" jury has also undergone a successful heart surgery in 2018.
