DA selects Sarangani as Region 12 pilot area for new nationwide collaborative program called Provincial-led Agriculture and Fishery Extension System

The Department of Agriculture has chosen Sarangani province as pilot area for Soccsksargen Region in the new nationwide collaborative program called Provincial-led Agriculture and Fishery Extension System (PAFES), with a P 226 Million funding from the national government for marginalized farmers and fisherfolk.

Agriculture Secretary William Dar and Sarangani governor Steve Chiongbian Solon with DA regional director Arlan Mangelen, Mindanao State University- Gen Santos City Campus, Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, and Sarangani League of Mayors president Mayor Tessa Constantino led the ceremonial signing. Also present during the ceremony is South Cotabato Congresswoman Shirlyn Banas-Nograles.
