Juris Fernandez to OFWs on Valentine's Day: 'Wag kayong malungkot'

Former MYMP lead vocalist Juris Fernandez has some comforting words for our "kababayans" abroad this Valentine's day.

In an interview for her recent "Hearts On Fire: Juris and Jed" digital concert, Juris touched on the topic of OFWs who may experience homesickness this Valentine's day.

"Huwag kayo malungkot guys. You know we're here for you," she said.

Juris hoped that her and Jed Madela's performance would lighten that feeling by "reaching out" to them.

"Alam mo, malaking blessing itong technology because right now we get to really still reach out to each other pag mga ganito like through social media, mga video chat. Hang in there guys," she added.

Juris, 42, rose to fame as the vocalist of acoustic group MYMP where they gained recognition for classic song covers. She left the band in 2009, and made her mark as a solo artist with numerous hit songs most notably for TV series and films such as: "Minsan Lang Kitang Iibigin" (Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin, 2011), "I Will Be Here" (A Second Chance, 2015) "Your Love" (Dolce Amore, 2017) among others.
