Gaon certifies albums by NCT, ENHYPEN, GOT7 and late SHINee member Jonghyun

Korea’s Gaon Music Chart has released new certifications covering albums, downloads and streaming. 

The Korea Music Content Association (KMCA), through Gaon Music Chart, authenticates albums and songs released in South Korea. 

For albums, a platinum certification is issued when 250,000 copies are sold and a million certification is given when sales hit one million copies. 

The following albums have been certified platinum on Feb. 11: 

Million (One million copies sold)

• NCT - “NCT 2020 Resonance Pt. 2” 

Platinum (250,000 copies sold)

• ENHYPEN - “Border: Day One”

• Late SHINee member Jonghyun - “Poet l Artist”

• GOT7 - “Breath of Love: Last Piece”

• EXO member Kai - “Kai” 

• IZ*ONE - “One-reeler/ Act IV”

• Kim Ho-joong - “The Classic Album I”

• Kim Ho-joong - “The Classic Album II”

For downloads, KMCA issues platinum certification for songs with 2.5 million downloads and diamond certification of 10 million downloads. 

K-pop girl group TWICE’s “Yes or Yes” received platinum certification for 2.5 million downloads. 

Under streaming, 100 million streams receive platinum certification and one billion streams get billion certification. 

Getting platinum certifications for 100 million streams are BTS’ “Dynamite” and Naomi Scott’s “Speechless,” part of the original motion picture soundtrack for the movie “Aladdin.”
