Korean media outlet Ilgan Sports conducted its annual Lunar New Year (Seollal) survey among K-pop stars to choose their favorite fellow idols in different categories. 

This year, the idol survey, held since 2017, had 22 groups and individuals as respondents: (G)I-DLE, ITZY, NCT 127, Kang Daniel, NU'EST, The Boyz, Mamamoo, Monsta X, BTOB, Seventeen, STAYC, Stray Kids, Secret Number, IZ*ONE, ENHYPEN, Oh My Girl, LOONA, Changmo, Cravity, TXT, Treasure and Pentagon. 

They were asked to name K-pop idols with the best visuals (most handsome and beautiful), hottest body, singers they want to be friends with, idols with hidden charm and most anticipated idols in 2021. 

The K-pop stars named ASTRO’s Cha Eun-woo, who got 18 votes, as the No. 1 most handsome K-pop idol. This is Cha Eun-woo’s third straight year to rank first. He ranked second in 2017 and 2018. 

In second place is Seventeen’s Jeonghan with 12 votes followed by BTS’ V in third place, NCT’s Jaehyun and Lucas placing fourth with nine votes each and Taeyong in fifth place. 

April’s Naeun was voted as the No. 1 most beautiful K-pop idol, getting nine votes. This was the first time that Naeun was named in the survey. 

Red Velvet’s Irene placed second with six votes followed by third placers Suzy, IZ*ONE’s Kim Min-ju and (G)I-DLE’s Miyeon (tied). Getting fourth place are Girls’ Generation’s Yoona, TWICE’s Sana and Tzuyu, and IZ*ONE’s Jang Won-young with four votes each.
