Actress Lovi Poe is simply blessed and grateful for all the wonderful opportunities in her career and personal life.

This as she celebrated her birthday during the lock-in taping for her new romantic-comedy series "Owe My Love" from GMA Public Affairs which will air starting Feb. 15.

"Andito kami for almost a month now. Naka-lock in kami for two months. Nag-a-adjust kami at talaga namang nagtutulungan kami rito. Masaya ang surprise sa akin ng co-production and co-artists last night so it was really good," Lovi revealed during a birthday press conference via Zoom for select members of entertainment media on Feb. 11

Lovi said her co-artists and production crew have given her a sweet surprise on the eve of her birthday.

"Biniro nila ako sabi nila kailangan ulitin yung hard scene so sabi ko sige magbibihis muna ako. Yun pala magsasama sama sila at may dala na silang birthday cake nun. So nagsurprise sila sa akin. That was fun," she said.

Asked about her birthday wish, Lovi said: "I am happy now but there's still so much that I can do. More projects and hopefully get to do different roles as well. So that's something I am looking forward to this year. And good health."

One of those who greeted her on her birthday was her half-sister Senator Grace Poe. Lovi made a special shoutout to her "ate" on her special day.

"Everybody knows our relationship. I am grateful to have an ate like her because it's just nice to have someone to run to. I remember I was in LA and I needed help, ang sarap ng there's someone to lean on. It's like I've always been a bigger sister because of my other sister. And now that I have ate, it's just great to have someone na talagang puwede mong matakbuhan. She's always welcome to me with open arms. Someone who is even more willing to be there for me. She treats me like family and I feel the same. We've reached the point that we contact each other casually. I'm just so happy that's how our relationship is now," Lovi said.

The award-winning actress also said that she and the senator are very close now. "We joke around. We're open to each other. Straightforward kami."

Asked if she would also pursue politics just like Sen. Grace, Lovi smiled and said: "I don't know. That's something I'll never pursue. I'll leave that to the experts and to her and of course to Brian Poe. i'll just do that entertainment part."

Amid the pandemic, Lovi is as busy as ever. "I am actually shooting two movies after 'Owe My Love.' I was supposed to film in January pero hindi lang masingit kasi naka lockdown kami. So few movies and I have a song coming out at the end of the month."

Lovi is also excited about her career in music. She is set to release her latest single "Under."

Describing the snaps on Instagram, she said: "That was recorded in LA. I was in New York originally. I'm just proud I got to work with one of the producers of Beyonce. It's something that's fulfilling to me kasi nga I was able to work in America. So that's something I'm looking forward to maipakita sa inyo."

Lovi also said that she hasn't thought about pursuing a career in the US full time despite the Hollywood connection.

"I haven't thought about it. If the opportunity comes why not. I am focused on what's happening in the Philippines. Right now, I want to be able to release my music. Noong bata ako pangarap ko talaga ito. I used to watch Britney Spears and other great artists and now I get to record in LA and New York. Doon pa lang nagpapasalamat na ako. Let's just see what happens next," she said.

LA-based record label VIM Entertainment announced the official launch of Lovi's music career in the US, which will act as the center stage drawing millions of fans worldwide. The progressive pop smash will be
available on all music platforms on Feb. 25.

The music video to be released on her newly launched Youtube channel the next day, on Feb. 26. Lovi will also be dropping her long- awaited EP this May.

"Music is my first love." Lovi was discovered through her musical ability. However, for most of her extraordinary career, Lovi focused her energy on
movies and TV. This year, she circles back to music to express her long-held inner emotions and tell her side of the story. With Under and the upcoming EP, Lovi proved again that she is a once-in- a-generation talent who knows no bound.

To put it plainly, "Under" portrays a relatable and emotional love story in the modern age. The vibrant number starts with a catchy melody that etches itself into your brain, causing you to sing it endlessly. Then comes the first verse that hits you with a line that carries a particular resonance. "I've been on a high note." And then there is the hook. Possibly the best of any contemporary pop song. "Maybe one day, you'll wake up on a Sunday. Call me up, say you want me. Till that day, I get high." The song definitely has a psychedelic element. It analogizes hopeless love with that of drug addiction.

"Under the influence just to get over you. Under your spell, I just want you to love me too." The last line, "My greatest addiction is chasing my lover," carried out by Lovi's breathtaking voice, is unraveled by beautifully haunting synths that take you into the abyss leaving you wanting more.

In the making of the song, Lovi immersed herself with critically acclaimed and multiple Grammy-winning producers Bob Robinson, Omen x KrisKeyZ. The recording of the single took place in Austin Ward's studio residence in West Hollywood on a typical moody LA Sunday. Due to their strong chemistry and highly creative collaboration, the power team decided to record and bless us with a debut EP, which will be out this coming May.

The incredibly talented American director Jessica Fee teams up with Lovi in a music video that will hit you right in the feels. Dripping with poetic imagery, the clip features Lovi's arrival back in Los Angeles.

"As she passes through these familiar streets, nostalgia overtakes her, and she remembers what love felt like in the early stages: soft, sunny, brimming with hope. And then, how it felt as the relationship began to fall
apart."

The vibes run deep in this dreamy music video as Jess brilliantly captures the mood of the song and delivers a spectacular interpretation through visual conceptualization.
