Kim Chiu shares her 'do's and don'ts for Chinese New Year

In her vlog, "It's Showtime!" host Kim Chiu shared her ways on how to attract "suwerte" this Chinese New Year.

Prosperity basket

Kim explained: "We always have this kapag bagong taon.Prosperity basket is a must kasi dito ka magtatanim ng buong luck mo for the entire the year.

"Tapos pagkatapos mo mag-alay, kakainin mo yung bigas for more luck, success, and good health." she added.

Sandalwood incense

Kim believes that this ritual is essential for her career, finance and travel luck. She even shared how she "recharges" her feng-shui enhancers and figurines with its smoke.

"In order to charge, iikot natin ito ng counter-clockwise, but, first, say your intentions, kung ano yung gusto mo. Pray from the heart and everything." said Kim.

Tikoy, ponkan and anything round

According to Kim Tikoy is for "harmony and balance" and essential for attracting good luck. Her instructions were to eat the year cake from 12 midnight or onwards.

Write down wishes and don't clean the house

Kim said: "Huwag linisin yung bahay in the first three days.

"Sa 15 ka pa magli-linis kasi sabi nila, aalis daw yung swerte. Hindi ko alam, sabi lang ng lola ko pero yun yung ginagawa namin for so many years.
