'Powerpuff Girls' in live-action: Are you excited?

The girls of Townsville—Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup—are given a live-action adaptation by The CW.

Being in development back in August last year, the Cartoon Network series created by Craig McCracken has been given a pilot order among other series coming to the network for 2021-2022. On a Variety report, the series will be headed by writers and producers Heather Regnier and Diablo Cody who were responsible for the series “Veronica Mars” and “The United States of Tara,” respectively.

The storyline will follow the girls who are said to be disillusioned 20-somethings who resented having lost their childhood because of fighting crime. With a premise like that, the question that needed an answer is will they be willing to reunite and save the world that needs them more than ever?

The date of pilot has yet to be announced. For now, as we all wait to see sugar, spice, and everything nice, we found a TikTok video that can help fans like us to channel excitement. Tamara Dai has dedicated her account to creating looks for series and movies that surprisingly do not look costume-y. Here’s how you can look like Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup, without looking like an obsessed fanatic.
