'Magkaagaw' heats up GMA Afternoon Prime with all-new episodes

Beginning Monday (February 15), GMA Network’s well-loved and top-rating drama series ‘Magkaagaw’ finally airs its highly-anticipated fresh episodes on the Afternoon Prime block.

Driven by malevolence from a failed past love, Magkaagaw tells the story of a legal wife who eventually becomes the person she hated the most — a mistress.

Laura’s (Sunshine Dizon) life was put in danger when she confronted Veron (Sheryl Cruz) about the latter's relationship with Jio (Jeric Gonzales). When Oliver (Polo Ravales) arrives and rescues Laura, she asks him to accompany her in pursuing Veron so they can stop her from hurting anyone. However, Laura is surprised when Oliver tells her not to go after Veron. Little did Laura know, Veron ordered a henchman to kill Clarisse (Klea Pineda) in their house. Will Veron’s revenge plans succeed?

Following a month-long recap, the cast members of the intriguing drama can’t wait for the audience to witness the continuation of the original drama that will sure hook daytime viewers in every scene filled with brilliant fight scenes, excellent dialogues, and the outstanding performances of the actors. 

“Marami kayong aasahan sa Magkaagaw. I’m just excited as everyone who’s waiting for Magkaagaw. Kakaiba 'yung makikita ninyong confrontation scenes dito. Halos every taping sa set namin noong naka-lock-in kami, palaging may confrontation scenes. Abangan ninyo 'yung mga ginawa naming eksena at kung paano namin in-execute, and sana matuwa kayo sa handog namin para sa inyo,” said Sheryl. 

On taping under the new normal, Sunshine is thankful for everyone’s safety. She also expressed her admiration toward her co-stars’ professionalism, "I'm just glad that we got to finish everything on time and that we all came home safely. I'm sure that we all did our best na magawa ng tama 'yung dapat naming gawin. Palagay ko, pressure-wise nasa audience na 'yun, e. Kumbaga, basta kami feeling ko naman ang pagbabalik ay matindi kaya aabangan naman talaga nila."

Meanwhile, Klea teased the audience on what to expect, “Iba’t ibang emosyon ang mararamdaman ninyo sa fresh episodes. Dapat ninyong abangan kung mababawi ba ni Clarisse si Jio mula kay Veron.” 

Jeric, on the other hand, promised his fans that he gave his best in playing the role of Jio, “Ito ang proudest moment ko dahil natapos ko siya. Sa sobrang hirap, dito ako nag-grow as an actor and proud ako na natapos ko ito. Masasabi ko na maganda talaga siya. Thankful ako sa bumubuo ng 'Magkaagaw.' From Direk Gil , mga co-actor ko tulad nina Ms. Shine, Ms. She, Polo, Dion, at Klea – sa lahat. Thankful ako na natapos ko ‘to and I'm very proud.”

Completing the stellar cast of Magkaagaw are: Polo Ravales, Dion Ignacio, Dennis Padilla, Lovely Abella, Isay Alvarez, Patricia Tumulak, and Joanna Marie Tan. 

This original series, created by the GMA Drama group, is headed by the SVP for Entertainment Group Lilybeth G. Rasonable, VP for Drama Redgie A. Magno, AVP for Drama Cheryl Ching-Sy, Senior Program Manager Camille Hermoso-Hafezan, and Executive Producer Darling Pulido-Torres. 

Catch the all-new episodes of Magkaagaw - under the helm of esteemed director Gil Tejada, Jr. -beginning February 15, Mondays to Saturdays, after Eat Bulaga on GMA Afternoon Prime.
