Ivana Alawi recalls how veteran host 'humiliated' her in front of other actors

Social media influencer Ivana Alawi has revealed one of her unforgettable experiences when she was just starting in showbiz.

It is about someone who "humiliated" her in front of other co-artists.

During her recent concept vlog called "Sagot o Lagot," Ivana was asked if she ever had a quarrel with other celebrities.

"Wala akong nakaaway, may nangaway sa akin. Pero ako never ako nakipag away sa kahit sinong artista kasi kailangan mong rumespeto at kailangan mong makisama sa showbiz world," she answered.

Then she vividly recalled that it happened during her TV guesting as among lead cast members of crime drama series "Sino Ang May Sala?"

"Dun 'yun sa ABS(-CBN) nagta-taping tapos nakaupo lang ako sa dressing room. Marami kami du'n kasi parang sama-sama kami sa dressing room na 'yun, so 'yung kasama kong PA lumabas siya kasi hindi na siya kasya du'n sa dressing room namin and kailangan lagi siyang malapit sa akin kasi siyempre kapag may kailangan ako, kapag magbibihis, 'yung mga ganu'n," she shared.

"Lumabas siya tapos may nakita siyang upuan du'n sa labas. Nagpaalam naman siya du'n sa tao sa loob, sabi niya 'Pwede bang makiupo lang?' Para malapit siya sa akin. As in tapat lang kasi siya. So sabi ng tao: 'Oo naman, sige upo ka.' So umupo lang siya du'n, nag-aantay siya, kunwari tatawagin na kami o ano," she continued.

"Hindi pa kami nagsisimula nito eh, so nag-aantay lang ako du'n, naka-upo ako du'n. Tapos biglang may sumugod na batikang host."

According to her, the latter was her "idol" as back when she was a kid, she used to watch the seasoned star's projects.

"Kaya nu'ng nakita ko, parang napangiti ako," she related.

But then the chaos started.

"Parang pinagsisigawan niya ako du'n sa dressing room sa harap ng ibang artista ta's parang sabi ko 'Hala,'" she said. "Sabi niya: 'You, why are you… your person is in my room!? Bawal kayong pumasok sa dressing room ko! Bastos!" Ganu'n, ganu'n, ang dami niyang sinabi ta's parang naalala ko 'yung reaction ko na 'Sorry po, sorry po, sorry po.' As in sorry ako ng sorry, tapos sobrang na-ano (napahiya) ako kasi para sa akin may ibang artista, sobrang pinapahiya ako, as in."

Ivana shared that after that turmoil, she just cried and immediately called her mom.

"Ang sabi niya (Mom): 'Okay lang 'yan. Hayaan mo na. Ano na lang.' Kasi wala naman talaga akong ginawang mali kaya hindi ko maintindihan bakit ako 'yung pinuntahan du'n at pinagsisigawan sa harap ng ibang artista. Pero siyempre, you still have to show respect and you still have to be professional," said she.

"Pero sana kinausap na lang niya ako na 'Uy, Ivana, alam kong bago ka sa ganito pero bawal 'yung ganyan' - mas ma-appreciate ko 'yun, 'di ba?

"'Di naman ako mahirap kausap. Pwede mo naman akong tawagin ta's sigawan mo ako 'yung tayong dalawa lang; pero 'yung sa harap ng maraming tao na wala naman akong ginawang masama -- 'yun lang 'yung 'di ko malimutan talaga."

Her brother then teased to mention the name, while a certain Aryan interjected to just drop the first letter of his/her name.

Which prompted Ivana to spill that it's letter M and a host of ABS-CBN.

"Pero wala na akong hard feeling sa kanya, naka move on na ako," she said.
