Bb. Pilipinas wishes Samantha Bernardo in her quest to win first MGI crown for PH

The Bb. Pilipinas pageant wished Samantha Bernardo of Palawan in her journey to the Miss Grand International 2020 pageant in Thailand on March 27.

This after the Binibining Pilipinas officially confirmed the selection of Bernardo as the Philippines representative to the international competition.

"We extend our full support in her quest to win the first MGI crown for the country," pageant organizers said on Facebook.Â Â

Binibining Pilipinas organizers also said their heart goes out to Aya Abesamis for being unable to join MGI 2020 due to age limit, caused by the delay of theÂ MGIÂ contest because of the COVID pandemic.

"She remains as our Binibining Pilipinas Grand International 2019 and will pass on her crown during Binibining Pilipinas pageant in April.

"We greatly appreciate both their efforts,Â perseverance and understanding, and wish them the best of luck," the statement read.

Bernardo replied: "Isang karangalan, Pilipinas. Maraming salamat Bb. Pilipinas family."

The new Binibining PIlipinas queens will be crowned in a "new normal" setting on April 17, 2021.
