GOSSIP GIRL: Watching a flick in VivaMax app

After watching the trailer of “Paglaki Ko Gusto Kong Maging Pornstar,” I immediately  downloaded the new content-streaming app VivaMax where the movie is now streaming. 

The  movie's trailer alone garnered over eight million views  across all social media of Viva Films, Viva Entertainment and Viva Artists Agency.

Written and Directed by the creator of "Jowable," Daryl Yap, the movie stars the four of the most popular sexy actresses of their time as themselves —  Alma Moreno, Rosanna Roces, Ara Mina and Maui Taylor.

During the presscon of the movie, I was able to pick the mind of a directorial genius as he had high regard for his stars. “First of all, my lead stars are not pornstars. The premise of the film is for our four main characters who portrayed themselves to find a pornstar that they can mold and train to be the next pornstar of this decade. They were really the actresses I wanted in this film and I would not have settled for others.  Higit pa sa legends ang mga ito. Ang legends medyo kathang isip. Ito buhay na legends ito ! Kahit anong patay kayang buhayin ng apat na ito.” 

I fully understood the gratitude the director had for the four leads because his script was realistically harsh for the four actresses. If Alma, Rosanna, Ara and Maui were not professional and most of all humble, I don't think they will accept this project. For Alma to make fun of herself for her ignorance of the English language is commendable. I honestly  think she can win the next election because of her sincerity and humility in accepting  this film. Rosanna openly talked about being laos: “Nasa taas palang ako, inisip ko na yang pababa. So I was mentally and emotionally ready. Also it’s so lonely up there."

Ara’s take on the word laos: "Wala namang forever. There will come a time na matatapos ang peak ng career mo. Dapat handa ka. Dapat prepare natin sarili natin. Iba kasi na depress at iba nasa denial."

Maui doesn’t even think the word “laos” exists in reality. “Ang importante andito pa rin ako at may proyekto pa rin ako.”

Well, I'm sure when the industry gets to watch the film, these four ladies will have projects left and right because they were fantastic in the movie!
