Is Fil-Am beauty vlogger Patrick Starrr a judge at Miss Universe 2021?

As the 70th edition of Miss Universe 2021 comes in less than a week, Filipino fans are already excited to see kababayans on the pageant’s stage. From updates about Philippine representative Beatrice Luigi Gomez to actress Marian Rivera on the show, local beauty contest aficionados are following every Pinoy step at this year’s competition. One of the news everyone celebrated in the past days was Fil-Am beauty vlogger Patrick Starrr also joining the pageant’s selection committee. But is it true?

According to One/Size cosmetics founder’s PR team, him being a judge at the international beauty contest is only a rumor. “We confirmed with the Miss Universe team that they did not issue any kind of press release or confirmation that Patrick Starrr was going to be on the judges panel so it looks like this was just a fan rumor and tabloid pick up,” Patrick’s PR team shared with Manila Bulletin Lifestyle through an email.

In an Instagram post by the Miss Universe, this year’s pageant will present yet again another all-female selection committee, which includes supermodel Adriana Lima, Indian actress Urvashi Rautela, host Steve Harvey’s daughter Lori Harvey, Miss Universe 2021 Iris Mittenaere from France, Puerto Rican actress American actress Adamari Lopez, American actress Rena Sofer, and Marian Rivera. Joining them during the preliminaries are Miss USA 2019 Cheslie Kryst and Miss Universe 1976 Rina Mor from Israel.
