Pasay City COVID-19 cases down to single digit

The number of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases in Pasay City has dropped to single digit, Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano announced on Wednesday, Dec. 8.

Rubiano said the City Health Office (CHO) and the City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (CESU) recorded only seven active cases of COVID-19.

She said out of 201 barangays in the city, seven remain with active cases. They are Barangay 14, 95, 185, 190 and 194 with one case each, and Barangay 201 with two cases.

The mayor said the city also recorded 97.49% recoveries from the disease.

Rubiano said hitting the single-digit COVID-19 count before Christmas is a dream come true for the city government.

She thanked the city residents for always observing the basic health protocols to contain the spread of the virus.

The mayor said the residents must continue to be cautious in order to achieve zero cases in the city
