PCUP's capability building program benefits indigents in Pagadian City

About 40 members of urban poor associations have benefited from the Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor’s (PCUP) capability building program in Pagadian City.

The capability building program, held on Friday, Dec. 3, was about Filipino Hot Meals Making, where participants were trained and taught how to cook meals particularly chicken lomi and chicken cordon bleu.

PCUP said that the program aims to educate the participants to produce products from which they can earn money.

“Patuloy na nagsasagawa ang PCUP ng mga aktibidad at programa na makatutulong sa pag-unlad ng mga maralitang tagalungsod lalo na sa panahon ng pandemya (PCUP continues to conduct activities and programs that will help the development of the urban poor especially during the pandemic) ,” said PCUP Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Undersecretary Alvin S. Feliciano in an official statement.

PCUP added that all participants of the said program will be endorsed by the Commission to be beneficiaries of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Skills Training NC II.
