Samantha Panlilio on MGI loss: 'I am completely heartbroken'

Miss Philippines Samantha Panlilio has admitted she was heartbroken when she lost at the Miss Grand International 2021 beauty pageant held in Bangkok, Thailand last Saturday.

"Thank you all for the love and support. I am completely heartbroken, but I know that I did my best and that’s all that matters. I feel nothing but grateful. My heart is warm," said Panlilio on Instagram over the weekend. Miss Vietnam won the competition.

But in a separate post, Panlilo said that she enjoyed her pageant journey.

Panlilio thanked her supporters for cheering her up during her MGI stint. She hinted at joining another pageant soon.

"It will take some time for me to heal, but I know that this is not the end of my journey and wherever life takes me next, lalaban parin ako; the true Filipina spirit," the beauty queen said.

"I have so much love for you Philippines! I genuinely enjoyed this journey and I know deep in my heart na lumaban tayo. Thank you for the love, support, messages (& TikTok memes). I will forever hold these memories close to my heart," she said.
