The Parañaque City government started the house-to-house distribution of Pamaskong Handog food packs to more than 300,000 residents on Dec. 1.
Mar Jimenez, Public Information Office (PIO) chief, said Mayor Edwin Olivarez personally visited the beneficiaries of Pamaskong Handog to greet them “Merry Christmas.”
Jimenez said the beneficiaries belong to the indigent families in the city.
He said each food package contains fruit cocktail, spaghetti noodles and sauce, Vienna sausage, condensed milk, and cheese for the “noche buena” of the beneficiaries on Christmas Eve.
The PIO chief said they decided to do the house-to-house delivery of the food packs to prevent the residents from rushing to the City Hall.
Jimenez said the mayor and Rep. Eric Olivarez have been leading the distribution of food packs in the city’s 16 barangays.
