Cherry Pie Picache's son reacts to her relationship with Edu Manzano

Rising actor Antonio "Nio" Tria expressed support to his mom, Cherry Pie Picache, having found new love in Edu Manzano.

During a recent Kapamilya Chat, the ABS-CBN star admitted he knew about it prior to the news exploding in media.

“Kasi alam ko naman po na nililigawan na ni Tito Edu yung mom ko," he shared. “Nung nalaman ko na nabalita na, ‘Ah, ok, good, nabalita na. Sana ok yung reaction ng mga tao or yung mga Kapamilya.’”

He approves of the relationship.

In fact, he reiterated his support to the two lovebirds saying, “Malaki na siya (Cherry Pie), e. Alam na niya ang mga ginagawa niya."

“Matanda na siya, alam na niya yun. Ako naman, siyempre Mama’s boy ako, siyempre she deserves her own happiness din, di ba? I mean, yung pagkakaroon ng relationship with someone else doesn't remove the fact that she is still my mom, di ba? Siyempre, woman pa rin siya. She deserves love. I just want my mom to be happy kaya support ako sa kanya, support ako sa kanila.”

Nio is Cherry's 19-year-old son with ex-partner Gerry Tria.

Aside from Nio, Edu's eldest child, Luis Manzano also reacted to his dad’s new romance a few days ago.

According to him, they were caught off guard and didn’t see it coming.

Cherry Pie and Edu have been working together in the Kapamilya series “Marry Me, Marry You” as love interests.

Meanwhile, over the weekend, Cherry uploaded a snap featuring Edu’s other kids - Addie and Enzo Manzano.
