Big Bang's Taeyang, actress Hyo-rin welcome first baby

K-pop boy band Big Bang member Taeyang, 33, and actress Min Hyo-rin, 35, are now first-time parents.

Hyo-rin recently gave birth to their first baby, according to an exclusive report by Hankook Ilbo.

YG Entertainment, Taeyang’s agency, confirmed the news and revealed to Korean media that "Taeyang's wife, Min Hyo-rin, recently gave birth to a healthy son."

Last September, Hyo-rin’s agency Plum A&C revealed that "it is true that Min Hyo-rin is pregnant, and she is happily waiting for the birth. Please understand that it is difficult to answer other matters because she wants to give birth quietly."

Their first born came more than three years after Taeyang and Hyo-rin got married on Feb. 3, 2018 at a church in Anyang City in Gyeonggi Province that was officiated by actor Ki Tae Young.

Taeyang and Hyo-rin met while filming Taeyang’s music video “1AM” in 2014. They confirmed they were dating in 2015.

On Dec. 18, 2017, Taeyang announced his upcoming wedding, writing, “To all the fans who always treated me as if I was family, to all of my Big Bang members, to all of my YG family, to everyone I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with and meet, I want to say THANK YOU. I will continue to live my life with responsibility and humility. My hope is that you will continue to support us and give your blessings for our future ahead as a couple.”

The wedding reception-party was held at the Paradise City Hotel and Resort in Incheon. After the wedding, Taeyang enlisted in the military on March 12, 2018. Taeyang and Hyo-rin live in a luxury villa in Hannam-dong, Seoul.

Taeyang debuted as a member of Big Bang in 2006 and celebrated his 15th anniversary of being with the group this year. Hyo-rin debuted as a model of a clothing brand in 2006.
