San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora announced on Saturday that the city has recorded the lowest number of active COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began in the country last year.
Zamora reported that as of Dec. 3, San Juan only has 16 active cases, the lowest recorded number of cases since March 2020, with 15,119 recoveries, and 330 deaths.
The mayor reminded the public to remain alert, wear face masks properly, observe physical distancing, always wash their hands, and always follow the public health and safety protocols despite the declining cases.

In an interview with DZMM on Friday, Zamora said that the city has already vaccinated a total of 214,231 individuals, equivalent to 242 percent of the target population.
