Mayweather supports Pacquiao's presidential bid

Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. were known as rivals in the boxing ring after slugging it out in the "Fight of the Century" in May 2015.

But Mayweather, who emerged victorious in that highly anticipated match, recently showed support to Pacquiao's presidential campaign in the Philippines.

"Absolutely," Mayweather answered when asked by the media if he will campaign or co-sign Pacquiao's presidency as posted by FightHype.

"Even though, they made us -- it's really the media, the media can always paint the picture the way they wanna paint the picture."

It would be recalled that prior to Pacquiao's retirement after yielding to Yordenis Ugas, the Filipino boxing legend and Mayweather still took a jab at each other.

Meanwhile, Mayweather revealed that both boxers are set to play basketball in the country in January next year.

The said charity basketball match was first reported in October but the final date and venue have yet to be announced.

"We're gonna play a little bit of basketball. Y'all already know what I got. I got big enough jet to take a team out there," added the American boxing great.

The undefeated five-division world boxing champion added that there will be former NBA and AND1 players participating in the game.
