CAVITEX stuns third leg champ Sista in PBA 3x3

CAVITEX handed third leg champion Sista a 21-15 defeat on Saturday, Dec. 4 in the resumption of the PBA 3x3 tournament at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

AC Soberano and Larry Fonacier conspired to help the Braves hand the Super Sealers a rough start in their quest to rule the fourth leg of the PBA’s inaugural halfcourt competition.

Soberano, Fonacier, Dominic Fajardo and Earnest Reyes couldn’t follow their win over Sista as CAVITEX fell 21-13 to Platinum Karaoke’s Chris de Chavez, Karl Dehesa, JR Alabanza and Ryan Monteclaro for a 1-1 record in Pool A.

Sista’s Kenneth Mocon, Leo de Vera, Prince Rivero and RJ Argamino bounced back with a 22-9 rout of the Zamboanga Valientes.

Leg 3 runner-up Pioneer, Terrafirma and Limitless won their opening assignments in the latest staging of the 3x3 tilt.

Carlo de Chavez, Christian Rivera, Gian Abrigo and Robin Rono powered Pioneer to a 21-12 win over San Miguel Beer in Pool B.

Terrafirma rolled to a 19-9 victory over NorthPort in Pool C as TH Tumalip, Dhon Reverente, Matt Salem and Jebb Bulawan look to build on their third place finish in the previous leg.

Limitless’ Brandon Rosser, Jorey Napoles, Reymar Caduyac and Marvin Hayes frustrated Zamboanga, 21-7, in Pool A.

SMB’s Jeff Manday, Louie Vigil, Bacon Austria and James Mangahas outlasted Barangay Ginebra, 18-16, to go 1-1 in Pool B.
