The Pasay City government will be implementing a number coding scheme for the renewal of business permits on Jan. 3 to 20.
Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said the Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO) came up with the new scheme to avoid overcrowding at the City Hall amid the threat of the Omicron variant of COVID-19.
Mitch Pardo, head of BPLO, said the city government has set up satellite offices of the Business Permit One Stop Shop (BOSS) at the Cuneta Astrodome at Derham Park corner Roxas Boulevard, Barangay 76: 4th Floor of New Port Manila in Barangay 183; and at the ground floor of Double Dragon Plaza in Diosdado Macapagal, Barangay 76.
Pardo said businesses with permit numbers ending in 1 and 2 will have to renew their document on Monday, 2 and 4 on Tuesday, 5 and 6 on Wednesday, 7 and 8 on Thursday, and 9 and 0 on Friday.
She said the BPLO is also accepting business permit renewal online, advising business owners to visit eodbusiness.pasay.gov.ph.
The BPLO chief added they also implemented digital signatures for immediate issuance of the business permits to its owners.
Pardo also said they are also encouraging all business owners to apply for the safety seal as soon as their business permits are issued to them.
