Las Pinas City Vice Mayor April Aguilar urged doctors and other medical workers to be on alert amid the threat of COVID-19 Omicron variant.
Aguilar told the City Health Office (CHO) to increase its contact tracing activity in case the Omicron variant enters the city.
She also wanted the swab, isolation and the contact tracing team to double their effort to prevent the spread of the new variant in the city.
The vice mayor told residents to strictly follow and observe the basic health protocols to prevent the spread of the dreaded disease.
Aguilar also advised them to complete their vaccines to be protected against the virus.
