Comedian-actor Dennis Padilla has opened up about his relationship with daughter Julia Barretto.
During a recent virtual conference, Dennis admitted that things are now okay, and they're rebuilding their relationship.

“Okay naman, although siyempre para kang nagsisimula ulit. Galing kami sa misunderstanding so now nagsisimula pa lang kami. One step at a time, building it up again.
“Kailangan lang talagang open ‘yung communication para lahat ng nararamdaman mo nasasabi mo na kaagad, hindi mo napupuno. So ganoon din sa side nila, kailangan naka-open ‘yung communication at tuluy-tuloy para meron kayong magandaang napag-uusapan, may magandang napupuntahan ‘yung mga topics ninyo.”
A few months ago, some online users didn’t like it that Dennis seemingly insinuated that all is still not well between him and his kids.
Early this year, the comedian expressed his longing to reunite with his children.
Then he shared a throwback photo of his daughters from former wife Marjorie Barretto, Julia and Claudia, during their younger days.
His post came after Dennis and his kids were among hot topics after some online users noticed that Julia’s vlog featuring her father is no longer available on her YouTube Channel.

Many assumed it has something to do with Dennis’ statement, where he opened up about Julia’s romance with the 32-year-old hunk actor Gerald Anderson.
In an interview with entertainment manager-actor Ogie Diaz, Dennis shared that he actually confronted Gerald when Julia was being tagged as the third party in Gerald’s controversial breakup with Bea Alonzo.
