BTS ARMYs distribute relief goods to families affected by typhoon 'Odette' in PH
BTS fans in the Philippines have distributed relief goods to families affected by typhoon “Odette” (typhoon “Rai) in different parts of the Philippines.
The BTS ARMY Cavite Fanbase initiated the “December with Luv: BTS ARMY Donation Drive” to raise money for areas devastated by “Odette.”
As of Dec. 28, the BTS ARMY Cavite Fanbase has raised P300,000, which is now being used for the distribution of relief goods.


According to the latest report by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) on Dec. 31, a total of 477 persons were reported dead, 1,147 were injured and 82 are missing due to typhoon “Odette.”
The NDRRMC earlier said the typhoon made landfalls in the Philippines in Siargao Island, Surigao del Norte; Cagdianao, Dinagat Islands; Liloan, Southern Leyte; Padre Burgos, Southern Leyte; Pres Carlos Garcia, Bohol; Bien Unido, Bohol; Carcar, Cebu; La Libertad, Negros Oriental and Roxas, Palawan from Dec. 16 to 17.
According to the BTS ARMY Cavite Fanbase, relief goods have been distributed or relief operations are ongoing in Sta. Catalina, Negros Oriental; Ilog and Cauayan in Negros Occidental; Libagon and surrouding areas in Southern Leyte; Arevalo, Iloilo; Lapu-Lapu, Cebu; San Rafael and Roxas, Palawan; Sipalay, Negros Oriental; Candoni, Negros Occidental; Surigao Del Norte; Dinagat Islands; and Ubay, Bohol.

For their efforts, the Sangguniang Barangay (Barangay Council) of Calaparan in Arevalo, Iloilo City presented a certificate of appreciation to the Army Cavite Fanbase.
“We, the Barangay Officials of Barangay Calaparan, Arevalo, Iloilo City, would like to extend our heartfelt thanks and gratitude for choosing our Barangay as beneficiary for their donation drive for typhoon Odette victims,” the certificate read that was signed by Barangay Captain Cecilia Nava on Dec. 22.

Typhoon “Odette” affected 1.13 million families or 4.45 million people in 6,526 barangays in MIMAROPA, Regions 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, CARAGA and BARMM.
It caused damage worth P6.68 billion ($131 million) in the agriculture sector and P16.71 billion ($328 million) in infrastructure, according to NDRRMC.
