8 drug suspects nabbed in Taguig, Muntinlupa

Eight persons will welcome the New Year in detention after they were arrested in anti-illegal drug operations in Taguig and Muntinlupa on Dec. 30 and 31.

According to Southern Police District director Brig. Gen. Jimili Macaraeg, the eight suspects yielded P125,800 worth of shabu.

On Dec. 30, the Taguig police’s Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) conducted a buy-bust operation in Phase II Bgy. Pinagsama Village, Taguig and arrested suspect Jomar Tajo, 34, a security guard.

Recovered from him were four plastic sachets containing suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) weighing about eight grams with a value of P54,400 and P200 buy-bust money.

At about 11:50 p.m. on the same date, the Taguig DEU conducted another sting on J.P. Rizal Street in Bgy. Tuktukan in Taguig, and arrested Arvin Domingo, 47, and Raymond Capistrano, 31, both residents of Taguig.

Seized from them were five plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing about seven grams with an estimated value of P47,600 and P200 buy-bust money.

In Muntinlupa, DEU operatives from the police held a buy-bust operation at around 10 p.m. on Dec. 30 on San Guillermo Street in Bgy. Bayanan and successfully arrested Juanito Solema Jr., 46.

The police recovered two plastic sachets containing about 1.5 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price of P10,200 and P200 buy-bust money.

Meanwhile, the Muntinlupa police’s Intelligence Section operatives arrested three suspects who were allegedly caught in the act of using illegal drugs on San Guillermo Street in Bgy. Putatan on Dec. 30.

The police identified the arrested suspects as Ella Fernandez, Marlon Tulisana and Victor Rejuso.

Confiscated from the scene were one plastic sachet containing about 0.5 gram of suspected shabu with a value of P3,400. one aluminum foil strip with traces of shabu, one improvised aluminum foil tooter with traces of the drug, one disposable pink lighter with aluminum foil burner, one disposable lighter and an open plastic sachet with traces of suspected shabu.

At about 1:30 a.m. on Dec. 31, the Muntinlupa DEU operatives conducted an anti-illegal drug operation at 91 Interior San Guillermo St. Bgy. Bayanan and arrested Arlene Bahan.

Seized from the suspect were two plastic sachets containing 1.5 grams of suspected shabu with a value of P10,200 and P200 buy-bust money.

All the recovered suspected illegal drugs were turned over to the SPD Forensic Unit for chemical analysis.

The suspects are detained at the custodial facilities in Taguig and Muntinlupa and will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
