This was stated in DepEd's Memorandum 088 issued on Thursday, Dec. 30.
"To give all Department of Education (DepEd) officials and employees sufficient time to prepare and celebrate New Year’s Day 2022 with their families and loved ones, work is suspended in DepEd offices and schools nationwide starting 12 noon of December 31, 2021," the DepEd.
However, offices or units of the agency "whose functions involve the delivery of emergency services/response and performance of other vital services shall be expected to render services when necessary," the DepEd noted.
