Makati City ramps up medical services; opens position for health officer

The Makati City local government on Thursday opened a position offering over P1 million in salary and benefits per year as it continues to boost the medical services and capabilities of its city hospitals and health facilities amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

In its Facebook post, the local government unit (LGU) announced that the city government is looking for applicants for the position of Medical Officer III.

The LGU said that applicants for the position may earn a total of P1,059,685 worth of salary and benefits yearly which include the following:

Monthly Salary and Benefits:

Basic Salary - P59,353

Personal Economic Relief Allowance - P2,000

Magna Carta of Public Health Workers Hazard Pay - P7,715 or COVID-19 Hazard Pay during ECQ

Subsistence Allowance - P1,000

Laundry Allowance - P150

Annual Benefits:

Mid-year Bonus - P59,353

Year-end Bonus - P59,353

Additional Benefits - P59,153

Cash Gift - P5,000

Incentive Pay - P12,000

Productivity Enhancement Incentive - P5,000

Clothing Allowance - P6,000

The requirements for the position are as follows:

- Letter addressed to the Mayor thru Dr. Vergel Binay, MHD officer-in-charge

- Resume

- Authenticated PRC ID/Board Rating

- Authenticated Transcript of Records

- Diploma

- Declaration of Filiation in the Government

Interested applicants may submit the requirements via email to [email protected] or personally drop them at the Makati Health Department (MHD) office on the 7th floor of Makati City Hall Bldg. 1.

The MHD reported that as of Dec. 2, Makati City has recorded 42 active COVID-19 cases with 44,106 recoveries and 983 deaths.
