A "high value target" who was allegedly included in the drugs watchlist of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) was arrested in a buybust operation in Buguey, Cagayan on Thursday, Dec. 2.

The PDEA said that Romeo Cabeza, 40, of Brgy. Pattao in Buguey town, yielded P34,000 worth of crystal meth or "shabu" and a caliber 45 pistol to anti-narcotics operatives of the agency and the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Region 2.
The PDEA said that the drug sting occured around 3 a.m. in Cabeza's house where law enforcers confiscated five grams of suspected shabu and pistol with no serial number from the suspect.
Cabeza was detained at the PDEA Regional Office II while the seized pieces of evidence were brought to PDEA laboratory for proper disposition.
Cabeza faces charges for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and Republic Act (RA) 10591 or Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
