Vaccination is the best protection vs COVID-19, PH Red Cross reiterates

As the country deals with the continued threat of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) once again reminded the public to get vaccinated as soon as possible.

“The best protection against COVID-19 is to get vaccinated,” said PRC Chairman and CEO Senator Richard Gordon in a statement issued Wednesday, Dec. 29.

Recognizing this, Gordon said that the PRC “continuously makes an effort to promote and educate the public so that we can reach herd immunity.”

Meanwhile, PRC continues to ramp up its vaccination efforts helping the country reach herd immunity through its “Bakuna Buses.”

Volunteers and staff of PRC recently vaccinated 64 Sama Badjaos in Lucena City.

As of Dec. 29, PRC said that it has already administered more than 817,222 doses while fully vaccinating 299, 921 individuals in its 26 “Bakuna Centers” and 17 “Bakuna Buses” across the country.
