The Tagapagtaguyod ng mga Reporma at Adhikaing Babalikat at Hahango sa mga Oportunidad para sa mga Pilipino (TRABAHO) partylist also vowed to stop discrimination in the work place, saying that political colors have no place in providing job and livelihood for Filipinos.

Charles Aguilar, Trabaho Partylist’s second nominee, said much needed reforms should be initiated in Congress to ensure that all Filipinos are given equal opportunity in landing jobs.

“Walang kulay ang trabaho. Dahil naniniwala kami na dapat sama-sama tayong mga manggagawang Pilipino na lalaban sa Kongreso para magsulong at magtaguyod ng reporma at oportunidad para sa mga pangarap ng mga ordinaryong Pinoy. (Providing jobs do not have color. We believe that Filipino workers should join hands in fighting before Congress reforms and equal opportunities hoped for by ordinary Filipinos). ” Aguilar said.

The partylist nominee also gave the assurance that Trabaho Partylist will not seek the support of politicians, big business and other influential personalities in its bid for representation in the Lower House.

The putting up of one-stop shop for all employment related concerns is among the legislative priorities the group will pursue in Congress.

The party-list is also well-known for its “irreverent, meme-centric branding and hilarious social media posts.” Recently, they parodied the famous taglines of the presidential candidates for the 2022 elections on their Facebook posts.

Established since 2018 but formally constituted as a regional political party in the National Capital Region in 2019, Trabaho Partylist consists of 2,000 members across more than 10 cities and municipalities from the Metro.

The party aims to provide a system of governance that will generate inclusive, sustainable, and widespread opportunities for the working class Filipinos especially after the massive unemployment and alarming levels of underemployment in the country during the pandemic.

TRABAHO party-list’s legislative proposals include the Digital Careers and Freelancers Act, Creative Space Careers Act, and the establishment of TRABAHO Centres across the country.

In addition to that, Trabaho also wanted to push the jobseekers’ allowance or national unemployment insurance for those who are looking for a job.

It also vowed to put an end to “endo” employment by strongly pursuing the passage of a pro-labor security of tenure bill.

Trabaho will also push for the institutionalization of a national public employment program and will make moves to empower the next BPO industry.
