P 1 M shabu seized in Manila buy-bust

Around P 1 million worth of shabu was seized in a buy-bust operation conducted by the Manila Police District (MPD) along Laong Nasa street in Tondo, Manila on Tuesday, Dec. 28, resulting in the arrest of five drug suspects.

MPD Director Brig. Gen. Leo M. Francisco identified the five suspects as Anthony Mante, 21; Randy Alcantara Dolorico, 37; Dyan Villanueva Abrazaldo, 24; Marga Jenifer Rapiz Sison, 36; and one 17-year-old suspect; all residing in Tondo, Manila.

Operatives of Police Station 7 (PS-7) of the MPD, led by Lt. Joan Dorado and Lt. Col. Robert C. Domingo conducted a buy-bust operation on the railroad tracks along Laong Nasa street in Tondo on Dec. 28 which led to the arrest of the five suspects.

Confiscated from the suspects were 175 to 180 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P 1,224,000.

The suspects are currently detained at the MPD and will be charged with violations of Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
