Guanzon to preside at preliminary conference of Akbayan petition vs Bongbong on Jan 7

Commission on Elections (Comelec) Commissioner Rowena Guanzon will preside the preliminary conference on the disqualification petition of Akbayan against presidential aspirant Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. on Jan. 7.

"I will preside over the preliminary conference of Akbayan et al vs Marcos Jr on Jan 7 at 9 a.m," Guanzon said on Twitter Wednesday, Dec. 29.

"Lawyers, prepare ! I have low tolerance for incompetence," she added.

Guanzon said the preliminary conference of Marcos DQ cases will be held at Comelec session hall in Intramuros, Manila.

She reminded all lawyers to be inside the session hall before 8:55 a.m.

"Parties must personally appear. Vax cards, face masks," said Guanzon.

In the interest of the public and transparency, she said, they will admit the media for 5 minutes or until the joining of Issues is finished and before their exhibits are marked.

Guanzon is part of the Comelec First Division which is handling the disqualification cases against Marcos Jr. filed by Bonifacio Ilagan, Abubakar Mangelen and Akbayan.
