The Legal Network for Truthful Elections (LENTE) will be monitoring the mock polls that the Commission on Elections (Comelec) will conduct on Dec. 29.

"The LENTE will be on the ground to monitor the simulation in different voting centers in NCR, Isabela, Albay, Leyte and Negros Oriental," the group said in a Facebook post.
LENTE said they will conduct a time-and-motion study and will also observe the implementation of the health and safety protocols and general election procedures implemented by the Comelec for Election Day in 2022.
"From these observations we will be forwarding recommendations to ensure that the upcoming elections are safe, accountable, transparent, and inspires national public confidence," the group said.
On Monday, the Comelec said poll watchdog groups as well as political parties have been invited to observe the conduct of the activity.
The mock polls will be conducted in Metro Manila and in the provinces of Isabela, Albay, Negros Oriental, Leyte, Maguindanao, and Davao del Sur in preparation for the May 2022 polls.
In the National Capital Region, the mock polls will be held in Barangays San Pedro and San Roque in Pateros; Barangays Ususan and Western Bicutan in Taguig City; and Barangays 70 and 110 in Pasay City.
