UDD proposes a toast to new beginnings

On the morning of Dec. 26, UDD officially announced through its Facebook page that its frontman, Armi Millare, is parting ways with the band.
In their post, the Alternative/Indie band says, “We thank her for sharing her talent and artistry in the songs we created together. We'll never forget how the four of us started out, how thrilled we were in 2004 to finally be playing in Saguijo to a crowd of twenty people.”

While the rest of the members will be staying and making music under Terno Recordings, Armi will be continuing her music career as a solo artist.
They closed their announcement with love from Carlos, Paul, and Ean. “We would like to thank you, our fans and listeners, for being with us on this journey—17 years, four albums, and thousands of gigs,” says the band. “We are so grateful. We really wouldn't have made it this far without all of you. Please keep supporting OPM!”
In an Instagram post, Armi shares that “UDD has remained my longest relationship—one that I've tried to keep sacred and tried to preserve with the principles I have upheld from the moment I learned that I had a dream: that one day i would be in that one band I would dedicate my life to. I see that there was more progress than perfection during our time together and I'm willing to let it end where it has. We had a good run.”
“I hope that everyone who sees this, looks at this as more of a beginning for us four individuals, whether we choose to pursue music as a career in the years to come or not and that we get the support of those who know what it means to walk into a new chapter of their lives. I wish everyone in the group, our vrew, and cohorts the best with all my heart,” she adds.

This might be a bitter-sweet moment for UDD’s fans, especially those who gets to reminisce the good ol’ days when they listen to their hits “Tadhana” and “Oo.” But, as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end. Perhaps this serves as a wake-up call, a reminder to enjoy the present and live in the now. Fans can rest in the comfort that they got to hear and watch the band perform live on school fairs, concerts, and gigs—remember when you were nursing that one free beer? Good times.
But before UDD moves on to new beginnings, the band released the music video of “Tambalan” as a gift to its ever-loyal and loving fans.
