Fernando inspects firecracker stalls in Bocaue, Bulacan for adherence to safety standards
The Provincial Government of Bulacan headed by Governor Daniel R. Fernando inspected on Monday, Dec. 27, several firecracker stalls in Bocaue for their compliance with safety standards.
Fernando was joined by the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (PDRRMO), Bulacan Philippine National Police, and the Bureau of Fire Protection during the firework and pyrotechnic stalls inspection to see to it that the regulations and guidelines of RA 7183, An Act Regulating the Sale, Manufacture, and Use of Firecrackers and Other Pyrotechnic Devices, are strictly followed.
Fernando said it is his aim to have zero victims of firecrackers and pyrotechnics during the celebration of the New Year.
"Let us welcome the year 2022 with hope and joy," he said.
He instructed the provincial police force to ensure that none of any oversized and killer firecrackers will be sold and used to welcome the New Year.
Fernando said the PDRRMO Operation Center is already in coordination with local authorities in the three cities and 21 municipalities of Bulacan, including the Provincial Health Office, Bulacan Medical Center, District Hospitals, and other concerned agencies in the province.
He urged firecracker traders to not spoil the holiday season by selling oversized and killer types of firecrackers.
"Be united for a safe and healthy New Year celebration," Fernando said.
